Spotlight Interview- Steven Johnston: Taffside Sauna
We chat with our new partner Steven Johnston from the Taffside Sauna about their offering.
Tell us about the Taffside Sauna.
Taffside Sauna is a mobile wood-fired sauna experience based primarily at Llandaff Rowing Club in Cardiff. We offer an authentic heat and cold experience with an eight-person sauna, whisky barrel ice baths and a cosy changing space designed to help people relax, reset and feel their best.
Whether it’s community events, wellbeing sessions, private bookings or group socials, we aim to make sauna culture accessible, friendly and a little bit special.
You’ve been a great ally for Single Parents Wellbeing with your sauna offering. Can you tell us a bit about why you’re keen to support SPW?
Growing up in a single-parent household myself, I experienced some difficult moments, including arguments, tension and situations where parents were turning me against one another. Those things stay with you, and some of the effects still surface even now. Because of that, I really believe in the importance of the support SPW provides. If I can play even a small part in helping families feel more supported, connected and understood, then I’m proud to do so.
What does Taffside Sauna offer?
We have communal and private group sauna sessions, ice bath experiences, yoga, mobile event hire and wellbeing or corporate packages.
